After a successful first edition last year, DGTL, Young Creators and ADE are bringing together a group of talented developers, designer, hustlers and other creatives once again to boost innovation in the dance and festival scene.

This year will see a return of the ADE Hackathon. The objective of the event is boosting innovation in the dance industry by bringing together different parties from the dance and tech scene. Last year's edition saw teams working on subjects such as Sustainability, Data connections, Brand Activation and Events & the City. Last year the winning team developed an app that used the movements of people, to display dynamics on the dance floor. A heat map showed where most people were dancing. Next to that there were solutions to prevent busy bars, a chatbot to answer all your festival questions and a dashboard that could tell which city venues could be used for an event.

During ADE 2017, on Friday October 20, the hackathon will start at the MTV office at NDSM with 100 participants working in teams on new concepts regarding Music Consumption, Festival Organization and Customer Experience. There are multiple ways to contribute and each concept adding value for the dance & festival industry can enter the competition. In 24 hours the teams will not only think of great concepts, but will also build great prototypes. Register here!

In case you are interested and want to take a look what a hackathon is all about... come and have a look at the opening on Friday October 20 or at the pitches 24 hours later on Saturday (18:00).
